What does Linscott Photo use for professional photography?
"Ready for anything!"

My primary camera - Nikon D700

"The Nikon D700 is Nikon's, and the world's, best serious digital camera. The old professional D3 costs more and runs faster for sports, but the D700 is newer, smarter, smaller and lighter." - Ken Rockwell

My backup shooter - Nikon D300

I always have a backup in my bag. Why? If something goes wrong and my D700 goes out of commission, I still am ready to provide you with excellent results.

What could go wrong? With Nikon, not much, but if I drop it into the waves, I'm calling my insurance company later and still getting your job done as scheduled.

Lenses, lenses, lenses!

I have wide angle lenses, fixed length lenses, zoom lenses. I've got whatever we need to give you the results you're looking for. I prefer the quality class of Nikon lenses.

SB-800 Lighting System

Nikon has developed the smartest lighting sytem on the planet. I can fire as many as 12 lights simultaneously if needed. I usually have three in my bag.

Lighting Options

Understanding lighting is a foundational cog of professional photography. I have what we need. If I don't I have other pros in my network who lend each other gear. If I still need more, I can rent anything.

Relectors and Gobos

Trust me, they are important.

Photographic Filters

I use a variety of filters to provide outstanding results. For example, neutral density filters are a favorite for afternoon shoot. It's okay that you have no idea what the means and why, but you want your photographer to know.

Wheeling $15,000-$20,000 of gear

Uncle Bob or your best friend Sallie might have a camera that looks pretty fancy to you, but pros use professional gear to provide incredible results. Bob or Sallie may have spent $800 on their kit. I have lenses that cost three times that.
